Our story
Founded in 2003, Olivehouse was purpose-built in a federation-inspired style to host beautiful gatherings in an equally beautiful setting.
It sits alongside Greendale Grove, our working olive farm and artisan oil brand, creating a unique blend of event space and regional experience.

Jacqui and Rob, along with Jacqui’s parents Rod and Anne, have lovingly grown this family business into a destination known for its generous hosting, quality produce, and commitment to constant evolution.
With Rob leading the kitchen and Jacqui at the helm of events and vision, Olivehouse remains grounded in heart while always looking forward.

2001 – IT ALL BEGINS
The Henry Family — Rod, Ann, and Jacqui — establish Greendale Grove at Kialla West after earlier planting 3,500 olive trees in Shepparton East. The new property already holds 2,000 thriving olive trees across five traditional varieties: Kalamata, Manzanillo, Verdale, Frantoio, and Nevadillo.

2002 – THE VISION GROWS
Another 1,200 olive trees are planted to encircle what will become The Olivehouse, shaping the landscape into a Mediterranean-inspired haven. The dream: to create a space where estate-grown olive oil, gourmet produce, and olive oil–based body products could be sold, savoured, and celebrated.
2003 – A NEW DESTINATION OPENS
The Olivehouse, along with the Greendale Grove Olive Shop, officially opens to the public — blending food, farming, and family into a unique hospitality experience.
2005 – A PERFECT PAIRING
Chef Rob Crifo (Jacqui’s partner) joins the team and becomes part of the family. Together, Rob and Rod manage the 50-acre olive grove with care and dedication — harvesting, pruning, and tending to every corner of the land.
2005–2024 – GROWTH, PASSION & REINVENTION
Over two decades, Olivehouse evolves — welcoming countless guests, refining its offerings, and growing stronger with each season. Rob’s kitchen creations become favourites: infused olive oils (Chilli, Basil, Lemon, Red Pepper & Balsamic) and pantry staples like Red Onion Chilli Jam, Sweet Balsamic Reduction, and Redgum Honey Mustard Seed Dressing.
TODAY – FAMILY OWNED, MADE AND OPERATED
Now owned and operated by Jacqui and Rob, Olivehouse at Greendale Grove is more than a venue — it’s a heartfelt expression of family, flavour, and legacy. Whether you visit for a wedding, a meal, or to stock your pantry, you’ll feel the passion behind every detail.
